AI consulting for US businesses · Greenwolf Tech Labs

AI consulting services that end in a plan you can fund

Our AI consulting services help US owners and operators decide where AI will pay back, what to do first, what it will cost and how to keep it under control. We work with companies of roughly 20 to 1,000 people who want a costed plan and a team that can carry it into production, not another presentation about the future of work.

Quick answer

What do AI consulting services include?

AI consulting services include a review of your workflows and data, a ranked list of use cases with expected payback, a roadmap with costs and owners, vendor and model selection, governance rules and staff training. Good consultants also stay through the first build, so the plan survives contact with real systems and real users.

  • Every engagement starts with a free review and ends with a fixed-price scope.
  • Use cases are ranked by hours saved, data readiness and risk, not by novelty.
  • You own every account, prompt, workflow and line of code we produce.
  • A person stays in the loop on anything touching money, customers or regulated data.

What do our AI consulting services cover?

They cover the decisions that come before and around any AI build: which problems are worth solving, in which order, with which tools, at what cost and under what rules. We treat AI as an operations question first and a technology question second.

A typical client arrives with a list of ideas from a board meeting, a few ChatGPT accounts nobody tracks, and one manager who has already tried an automation in Zapier. We turn that into a short list of funded projects, a governance policy people can follow, and a sequence that builds on itself, so the second project reuses the data plumbing from the first.

  • AI strategy and a 12-month roadmap with owners and budgets.
  • Readiness assessment of data, systems, skills and risk.
  • Fractional Chief AI Officer for ongoing leadership.
  • Governance policy, vendor review and usage logging.
  • Generative AI, agent and automation consulting through to delivery.
  • Hands-on training for staff and managers.
02

Why do so many AI pilots stall before they pay back?

Most pilots stall because they were chosen for being impressive rather than for sitting inside a daily workflow with a measurable cost. MIT NANDA reported in July 2025 that 95% of organizations saw no measurable P&L return from generative AI, and it pointed to brittle workflows and poor fit with how people actually work.

The same MIT NANDA study reported that projects built with specialist partners succeeded about 67% of the time, against about 33% for internal builds. We read that less as a sales line and more as a warning: the gap usually comes from missing integration work, weak data access and nobody owning the result after launch. Our plans name an owner, a baseline metric and a kill criterion for every project before a dollar is spent.

03

How do we choose which AI use cases to fund first?

We score each candidate on value and ease, then fund the ones in the high-value, low-effort corner first. Value means hours saved, errors avoided or revenue protected, measured against how the work is done today. Ease means the data is reachable, the systems have APIs, and a mistake can be caught before it reaches a customer.

In practice the winners are rarely flashy. Back-office work such as reconciling spreadsheets from several sources, chasing documents, triaging inbound email or preparing weekly status reports tends to score well because the volume is high and the rules are known. Customer-facing chat and outbound sales tools often score lower at first, not because they cannot work but because the review and escalation design takes longer.

  • Baseline: how many hours a week, how many errors, what it costs today.
  • Data access: is the input in HubSpot, NetSuite, SharePoint or someone's inbox?
  • Risk: what happens if the output is wrong, and who catches it?

Process

How an engagement runs

  1. 01

    Free review

A call to map your goals, systems and the workflows that cost the most time today.

  2. 02

    Fixed-price scope

We send a written scope with deliverables, timeline and one fixed price, so there are no hourly surprises.

  3. 03

    Assess and rank

We interview staff, sample data and score every candidate use case on value, ease and risk.

  4. 04

    Plan and govern

You receive the roadmap, vendor choices and governance policy, reviewed with your leadership team.

  5. 05

    Build or hand over

We deliver the first project ourselves or brief your team or vendor, then measure against the baseline.

04

Do you need AI consulting or AI implementation?

You need consulting when the question is what to do and in what order; you need implementation when you already know and just need it built. Most of our clients need a little of both, which is why we advise and deliver under one fixed-price scope.

Separating the two often creates the stalled pilot problem described above. A strategy firm hands over a roadmap, a development shop rebuilds the requirements from scratch, and six months later nobody remembers why the use case was chosen. When the same team that ranked the use case also wires it into Salesforce or QuickBooks, the business case and the build stay connected.

05

Which AI models and platforms do we recommend?

We recommend whatever fits where your data already lives and what your risk rules allow, and we have no reseller ties to any vendor. A company running on Microsoft 365 often starts with Copilot and Copilot Studio; a Google Workspace shop looks at Gemini; teams with strict data residency needs may prefer Amazon Bedrock or an open-weight model such as Llama or Mistral in their own cloud.

For custom work we compare OpenAI, Claude and Gemini on your own sample tasks, using a small eval set of real documents with known correct answers. That test usually settles the debate faster than any benchmark table, and it gives you a cost per task to put in the business case.

06

How do we keep AI governed, safe and owned by you?

We write the rules before the tools go live: which data may go into which system, who approves a new use case, what gets logged, and where a human must review the output. The policy maps to the four functions of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (Govern, Map, Measure, Manage) so it holds up when a customer or auditor asks.

Ownership is simple. Accounts are opened in your name, prompts and workflows live in your repositories, and data stays in your tenancy. If you stop working with us tomorrow, everything keeps running and your team has the documentation to change it.

Why choose Greenwolf Tech Labs among AI consulting companies?

We are a small senior team with offices in India and the USA, working remotely with US clients in US time zones. Over 8+ years we have delivered 100+ projects for 200+ clients in 50+ locations and saved clients 10,000+ hours of work. Team members bring experience from top consulting firms, and our director Harsh Khubchandani began his career at ZS in pharmaceutical commercial operations.

Our case studies show the kind of result we aim for. For an insurance brokerage in Australia, we built a pipeline that standardized every insurer's spreadsheet into one dashboard, cutting report time from 4-5 hours to under 5 minutes and lifting reporting accuracy from about 75% to 99%. That is the pattern we look for in AI consulting services work: a painful, repeated task, clean measurement before and after, and a person still checking the numbers that matter.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much do AI consulting services cost?

We quote one fixed price after a free review, based on the number of workflows, systems and departments involved. Market rates vary widely by firm type, and our AI consultant cost guide sets out published third-party ranges if you want to compare.

How long does an AI consulting engagement take?

A readiness assessment or strategy usually takes a few weeks, depending on how many teams we interview and how quickly we get data access. A first production use case typically follows over the next few months, with timelines fixed in the written scope.

Do small and mid-size businesses really need an AI consultant?

Not always. If you have one clear workflow and someone internal who can own it, an off-the-shelf tool may be enough. A consultant earns the fee when there are several competing ideas, sensitive data or systems that need to be connected.

Is our company data safe with ChatGPT or Claude?

It depends on the plan and settings. Business and API tiers from the major vendors offer stronger data terms than consumer accounts, and regulated data such as health information needs a signed Business Associate Agreement. We check the terms for each tool before anything sensitive goes in.

Do you only advise, or can you build the solution too?

We do both. Many clients hire us for strategy and then ask us to deliver the first project, such as a document assistant, an automation or a CRM integration, so the same team carries the business case into production.

Do you work with US companies from overseas?

We have offices in India and the USA and work remotely with US clients, holding calls in US time zones. Contracts, accounts and data stay under your control, and all delivery is documented so your team can maintain it.

Which industries do your AI consultants work with?

We work across manufacturing, logistics, insurance, healthcare, ecommerce and accounting firms, among others. The method is the same in each: find the repeated, measurable work, check the data and rules, then build with review points where errors would be costly.
